Bonds Set for Two Charged With Robbery
Bonds were set at 2000 dollars each for Bill Allard and Vernon Overstreet after a preliminary hearing before Justice J W Minter on charges of assault and robbery of Joe Hollis at a residence on 2100 Buchanan Street. Belle Guest, held as an accomplice, was released after the judge ruled insufficient evidence tied her to the crime. Hollis testified the trio stole 130.97 dollars from him after a mistaken payment incident involving a hundred dollar bill.

Hotel Damage Suits Headed for June Court Session
Civil suits of wide interest set by Judge W F Gee in district civil court during the April term include actions against T B Baker Alex Davidson and the Baker Hotels Inc seeking more than 1 000 000 damages and about 100 000 in refunds for failure to build the Davidson hotel at Seventh Avenue and Tyler Street. The suit will be heard June 17 as four of the petitions begin in June. The Davidson project has been abandoned and forms torn down. A breach of promise suit by Miss Imogene Smith against Habib Khan was set for the week of June 17. River Road residents sue the city of Amarillo for 90 000 over flood damages from a new sewer project.

Fierce gales wreck damage on East Coast
A northeast rain storm battered the East Coast, sinking ships and flooding harbors from Delaware to New York.
