Grimy wagons and motor cars carry scores of families from northwestern Oklahoma as an eight state dust storm ravages farms. Crop and livestock damage mounts, with business houses and schools closed in several cities as grim winds continue.
Another dust storm engulfed Amarillo yesterday around 4 pm after a sunlit forenoon. The Weather Bureau forecaster said it was the tail end of a storm, with winter forecasts calling for a low around 35 degrees and fair weather tonight and today. No rainfall was expected.
A massive dust storm swept through western Kansas and nearby states, badly damaging wheat areas and prompting closures in Colorado and Kansas. Agronomy chief R I Throckmorton warned the breuth-ridden belt faces doom, with over 160 families uprooted and Cimarron and Texas counties seeing mass desertions.
Dr Allan Roy DaFoe announced the Dionne quintuplets show signs of nervous excitement after visits at Callander. The Dafoe Hospital will close to weekend visitors as nearly 400 people watched them through a glass enclosure last Sunday.

Sally Eppstein a 28 year old said to be the first Jewish woman beheaded in modern German history and Hans Ziegler 34 a Aryan were taken to the same beheading block used earlier on Baroness Benita Von Falkenhayn and Renate Von Natzener. The executioner was August Groebler, the same headman as before.
The trans Atlantic liner Aquitania ran aground today off Brambles Bank in Southampton water while returning from New York. A 50 mile an hour gale raged as nine tugs rushed to assist and standby the vessel.
Harry Cohen twenty seven of New York saved his car when it skidded and hung two feet over a bulkhead above the East River. Police assisted in pulling the vehicle back. Cohen faced a reckless driving charge.

Fire of determined origin badly damaged the Pampa Milling Company plant last night. Loss was estimated at 5000 dollars.
