Woman Beaten To Death in Amarillo Four Homicides Reported
Eleanor Pickens, 54, of 505 N Jefferson, died after a beating at her home in Amarillo. Police say a man is in city jail for investigation. Witnesses report no weapon, the assailant struck once with a fist. Other early homicides include Katina Moyer, 16, shot north of the city, Peggy Ann Richard, 16, shot at her home, and Michael Fiorillo, 58, killed in an armed robbery at his jewelry store.
