Paris reports Bandit Lacombe, who confessed to killing Editor Dueret, died by his own hand after escaping his cell. He was found on the roof and, upon realizing recapture was imminent, saluted the warden then leapt to the stone courtyard several stories below, dying instantly.
Frank Johnson Goodnow of Brooklyn New York has been chosen as legal adviser to reform the Chinese republic constitution.
