A three judge Federal Court on Tuesday rejected a Justice Department bid to require Texas to add two more free voter registration windows. The court had earlier struck down the Texas poll tax and heard arguments from DOJ and Texas Attorney General Waggoner Dave Wait. DOJ argued March registration was insufficient and proposed periods April 8 to 19 and Aug 22 to Oct 8.
