Olton Grand Jury to Reopen Hunt Murder Probe Monday
Plainview April 5 Special Investigation into the October murder of Dr. and Mrs. Roy Hunt near Littlefield will resume Monday in Olton Lamb County 64th District Court with the grand jury convening at 10 A M. 30 witnesses were questioned before a Feb 26 recess including parolee Jim Thomas and witnesses from Galveston and Houston. The Court of Criminal Appeals reversed a related conviction against Dr W R Newton and set a rehearing for April 19. The Hunts were found dead October 26 with their bodies bound by lamp cord. Dr Hunt shot and Mrs Hunt beaten.
