Court awards damages in Lake Shore Standard Oil traffic case

A Cleveland court ruled for Schofield Shurmer Teagle in a railroad oil dispute against the Lake Shore Railroad. The jury awarded $5,883.30 for 58,883 barrels of oil priced 10 cents higher per barrel than Standard Oil’s rate, plus a $1,000 punitive damages for unequal treatment. extra storage costs were disallowed.
