In Des Moines county Iowa four men were shot during a trial before Justice Null at Fairview Schoolhouse yesterday morning. C H Terry, accused of larceny, drew his revolver after Reed and Estes came armed, fatally wounding Reed and wounding Terry and a bystander as about a dozen shots were fired amid growing gang hostility. Earlier gunfire had hit Terry’s house, and the armed group appeared prepared for conflict.
