Reminiscent Service Marks Old Alpine Church Closing
A farewell service at the First Methodist church of Alpine honors the old building before demolition for a new structure. W. B. Hancock recalls Alpine’s 1880s growth and pioneer families, while Judge W. Van Sickle sketches early Methodism and notable pastors including Saunders, Thornebury, and Kilgore.
