Ed Ten Eyck arrived in El Paso and surrendered to Chief Wootton to avoid prosecution, agreeing to repay allegedly embezzled funds. Last of the Lochausen Ranch Divided Among Several Buyers
Judge Van Sickle and officials witnessed the division of Lochausen lands at Haymond Monday. Deeds show J. H. King buying 60 south of the railroad and 25 more in block 22, plus other property for 4500. Krebaum and Simpson receive King’s portion north of the railroad for 650. J. G. Reininger acquires 30 sections north of the railroad east of Haymond for 850. A. S. Gage secures 32 sections south of King east of Haymond for 2090 and gains use of the King pasture for one year to settle back rentals around 1200. The WB well remains unsold, with W. Gourley reportedly considering it.

Death of C. M. Featherston in Presidio County
C. M. Featherston died Wednesday September 14 1904 at his Alpine Texas home after a hemorrhage. He came from Stonewall County in June with his wife and family seeking better health. Interment was in Alpine Cemetery under Woodmen auspices. he was a member of that order. His widow, infant child, and surviving relatives mourn his loss.
