Brewster County Oil Wells See Slow Activity Amid Low Oil Prices
The Avalanche reports limited Brewster county air field activity with several wells idle or slow. Hovey well shut 30 days, Bone Springs idle a few days with drilling likely next week. Threwaster and Nine Points slow, Portland Syndicate fishing due to lost bit, Wilson No 2 deepening with water trouble. Many Wildcat wells idle due to low oil prices and tight money, with little local encouragement for drilling.
