Beard era Standard Oil dealer kept Alpine service station open
In 1934 T A Beard took over the Alpine commission agency from Pasotex Petroleum and later ran the Standard Oil Company of Texas distributorship for Brewster, Jeff Davis, and Presidio counties. He operated a 24 hour service station at East Holland Ave and 3rd Street with gasoline, lubrication, washing, accessories, Atlas tires, diesel fuel, and a staff handling wholesale and retail work.
