Old timers say pastures look better this year across the Davis mountains and Daly region. Ranchers hay the mowed grass for feed as rains are light but grass yields are sufficient for hay. Jim Medivoy notes good grass at Kennedy ranch with adequate forage and cattle prices around twelve cents for calves and yearlings.
