The storm boosted moisture for winter grain and livestock feed, while disrupting highway travel and delaying the Pecos to Alpine bus. Local figures hail Sand Ashburn as noting the rains’ breadth from El Paso to the Gulf and highlight the “sandwich king” legend around PF Hornbeck.
