Alpine News Briefs Hint at Local People and Events
A long column of almanac style notes describes residents and visitors in Alpine and nearby towns. It mentions CG Rant writing for Western Story, Mrs Henderson visiting Marlin, local births, guests from St. Louis and Fort Stockton, ranching and business travel, and social notes about families, ministers, and merchants. A bake sale is planned by Methodist ladies, a charity card prompts a local joke, and two short quips conclude with humor about wives’ worth.
