Booster Trip to Fort Davis Brings Alpine, West Texas Crowd
A booster caravan of forty, eleven cars, and about forty Alpine residents traveled to Fort Davis Friday afternoon. Judge Weatherby led the meeting at the Fort Davis courthouse, with speeches by E H Carlton L M Graves and others from Alpine and area firms. W E Caldwell U J F Campbell spoke on cooperation and local business ties, while Rev J F W Campbell praised Fort Davis for its willingness to help build the region. The return trip had one tire blowout but no mishaps. A baby funeral and a wedding in Alpine were noted among local events linked to the trip.
