Mrs. John Simpson is seriously ill at her Warwick home. Mrs. R Stilwell left for Bizbee to be with her sister Mrs. W C Nicholes who is also seriously ill. J H Anderson reports twelve acres of corn and eight acres of mile maize near Marathon show strong yields under favorable conditions. G H Stovey fell from a horse on the J A Stroud ranch south of Marathon injuring hips and head. he was cared for at the Storey home and later moved to the Chambers hotel for treatment. The baby girl of Mr. and Mrs. Jas D Lovemake died August 1st 1908. the funeral was held Tuesday evening with Rev J J Maurer officiating. The community extends sympathy.
