The Alpine Internationals beat a Carlsbad New Mexico team in a Sunday doubleheader here 14 to 3 and 3 to 2 in extra innings. Key pitchers were Mickie for the Internationals and E Fernando for Carlsbad. Rudy Apodaca and Lujan shared the Intern battery in the second game. F Fierro hit a three base hit and scored the winning run in the second game. The Internationals meet a Chihuahua City team for three games this weekend with 3 p.m. start tomorrow and 10 a.m. and p.m. times on Sunday.

Riley Dunman publisher of the Sanderson Times announced the sale to L H Gilbreath and son effective May 1. The Gilbreaths are experienced newspaper people with West Texas operations in the past.
