Alpine Fire Doused at Vulcanizing Plant
A small blaze at the West Tex Motor Co Vulcanizing plant in Alpine was reported around 1 PM. The bucket brigade and extinguishers controlled the fire, saving the building and stock valued at about 820000 with 200 in gear. Likely originated from the vulcanizing machine or wiring. danger was oil and grease present. A breeze aided quick discovery and containment.

J. O. Praizer and party left for Kansas on Wednesday after visiting to aid Frainer's health and escape severe winter conditions. They arrived early in January and enjoyed their time, bringing their auto and camping gear.
