Death Takes Jim Crow James Crow 65 of Presidio dies
James Crow, 65, of Presidio died Sunday in Veterans Administration Hospital Big Spring from injuries from a traffic crash near Stanton weeks earlier. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Geeslin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James R. Best officiating. American Legion Post No. 79 Alpine conducted military graveside rites at Elm Grove Cemetery. He was born December 28, 1903 in Portales New Mexico. He moved from San Angelo to Presidio in 1960 after living in Alpine and San Angelo earlier. He is survived by his wife Mildred Crow, his mother Nora B. Crow of Beaumont California, and a brother William S. Crow of Beaumont California.

Brown Rites Held Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Brown an 84 year old widow of Joe Brown of Alpine were held at 2 30 p m Tuesday March 18 in the Geeslin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery. Christian Science practitioner George C Haisler of San Antonio conducted the service. Pallbearers were Herschel Boyd Jack Williams J W Eddleman and George Mills. Mrs Brown died Saturday March 15 in an El Paso hospital after a long illness. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
