Mark D Morell Receives Navy Letter of Commendation
SA Mark D Morell USN received a Letter of Commendation from Commander J H Carrabine aboard USS Oriskany CVA 34 in a March 3 ceremony at Lemoore Naval Air Station. The citation honors his gallant actions during the USS Oriskany fire on 26 October 1966, including aiding bomb jettison and casualty evacuation.
