DAR Hears Policy Talk at Alpine DAR Meeting
Paul Forchheimer, Alpine civic leader, spoke on The Good Neighbor Policy at the Big Bend Chapter DAR gathering in the First Christian Church Hospitality Room. He urged a unified U S policy toward Mexico and Cuba, cautioned about communist influence, and cited Humphy on looking inward before criticizing neighbors. The National Defense chair noted federal aid to education eroding local rights. A salad and dessert service followed for members and guests, including Mrs. Mae M., Mrs. Paul Nipkew, Mrs. Jimmy Wade, and visitors.
