Teague Texas officials report that Comptroller Terrell refused licenses for seven saloon applicants outside city limits. He defended the move as protecting a large majority of Teague citizens and noted protests signed by hundreds in Freestone County.
The Brewster County Commissioners Court transacted routine February business. Payments approved include Albert Warner as courthouse janitor at 40 dollars monthly, and bonds for Robert L Cartledge and others. An April first election for county and district trustees was ordered with designated officers. Bonds for First National Bank of All Texas and other officials were approved. A 1915 tax levy was set equal to 1914. County health officer Dr J A Hardy appointed for two years. County attorney appointment postponed. Budgets, bids, and printing proposals discussed, with a county-wide printing call to newspapers for May term. A court quorum rule was adopted for major matters.
A long open letter rebukes a local newspaper for publishing alleged libel about the Marathon County issue. It details correspondence with GP Arnold of Marathon, J De Jackson of Alpine, and Brewer County petitions, and states a stance on creating Brewster County while criticizing editorial conduct and demanding accountability for published attacks.

Nate reports Germany desires peace while Telegra Europe notes bids are welcomed for county printing and supplies for other branches. The piece condemns overcrowding in Texas jails with nearly four hundred insane detainees and cites Brewster county planning to advertise for county printing and supplies. The Avalanche warns Texas printing trust to withdraw.
The Alpine streets, crossings and sidewalks are in poor condition with limited access for women and inadequate pedestrian routes during wet weather, compromising safety and mobility.
Late press dispatches report that battleships have again been ordered by the statesman to proceed to Vera Cruz. After another bluff, which the Mexican rabble will promptly call, they will steal back. Oh for a Moses to lead us out of the wilderness.
A Sunday sermon by Rev. W. W. Nelson of Alpine Methodist Church denounces men who mouth vulgar stories on streets and in business places and then hold prominent church positions. The speaker condemns hypocrisy and warns against corrupt public roles.
