Opportunity Workshop organized in Alpine chamber
Alpine civic groups meet to form the Opportunity Workshop nonprofit. E. Milton Smith is chairman with Pete Gallego as vice chair and Paul Forchheimer as treasurer. Rev. Robert Bristol serves as secretary. A $100 minimum charter fund is planned with half raised at the meeting, aiming to unlock $12,000 total with state and federal matching funds to create local jobs for the handicapped.
