West Texas Utilities to cut rates after tax cuts
WTU will pass tax savings from federal income tax cuts to customers nationwide, with about 1 million dollars yearly in savings and an estimated 2.8 percent reduction. WTA manager W. H. Hudgins and president Cal Young say benefits apply to 1964 and 1965 tax cuts, with new rates to start around July or August after city approvals. Alpine and 165 West Texas towns rely on WTU service.
