Alpine wedding ties Barrow and Surratt in June church ceremony
At First Methodist Alpine a ceremony joined Miss Selette Barrow and Harold Lee Surratt of Sanderson in a June 25 wedding. Attendants wore organdy gowns, a flower girl scattered rose petals, and a three tiered cake marked the reception. The bride, daughter of Alpine residents, wore Chantilly lace, ribbon and gloves with a cathedral train. The groom is a Sul Ross State College student later to receive a geology degree. Out-of-town guests included Barrow and Surratt family members from Hico, Hamlin, Pecos and Sanderson. The Alpine queen is noted as a former Alpine High School leader.
