Court Backs 1925 Law On University Lands Leasing

The court ruled the relinquishment act aims to spur prospecting and that the 1925 leasing law stands, rejecting challenges to the 1917 and 1901 statutes. Regents and challengers argued control over school lands, but Robison’s regulatory authority to implement the 1925 law was affirmed while county land prospecting leasing was upheld.
