County Democratic Committee Sets Primaries Assessments
At a Monday meeting the County Democratic Executive Committee decided assessments for primary expenses. Candidates to pay include County judge 16.50, district and county clerk 24.00, sheriff and tax collector 29.00, tax assessor 19.00, county treasurer 9.00, county attorney 1.00, county commissioner 4.00, constable 1.50. justices of the peace were not assessed. The committee will meet again in July to appoint judges. President Wilson issued a call for volunteer guards to mobilize as intervention looms. American and Mexican soldiers fought Wednesday near Casas Grandes with reported losses on both sides.
