Sunday Schools Host Picnics for Sul Ross Students
Sunday schools and Baptist members organized picnics for Sul Ross summer students at Tippit's Mitre Peak ranch in Alpine. About 200 people enjoyed barbecued beef, salad, cake, cotter, lemonade, and other foods after hikes and hillside explorations. A second event followed on George Brown ranch at Valle La Clenca with Chuck wagon dinner and ice cream, drawing townspeople and students to the scenic ranch near Cathedral Mountain.
