The Cowboys and Kermit All-Stars split a two game set here. The All-Stars won 8 4 in game one while the Cowboys came back to win 10 4 in the Sunday affair. Roy Peden, former Cowboy, hit a homer for the visitors in the opener. Graves held the line for the Cowboys in a four hit effort as Linney relieved. Mister Mac Sproul of Fort Davis Dies After Long Illness
McCann Hiler Sproul known as Mister Mac, 66, died June 7 1960 in an El Paso hospital after months of illness. He was born March 16 1884 in Sabinal and lived in Fort Davis most of his life. He married Rita Diaz in May 1910. Funeral at Fort Davis First Presbyterian Church was held June 9 with Rev S M Mims officiating.
