It Happened Here 20 Years Ago

A 1927 Alpine timeline notes a failed $125 000 Sul Ross library appropriation and a $10 000 Davis Mountains scenic road survey bill. Street lighting work began, a new cotton oil mill site near Funk land was chosen, and $20 000 for a Sul Ross gymnasium plus $15 000 locally raised funded construction. South Alpine building restrictions were set, and California oil operators H D Wilcox and Norman C Anderson were recorded at Prude Guest ranch during their vacation.
