Miss Willene Smith daughter of Mr and Mrs H S Smith of the Buena Suerte mine married Lt Bruce ten in a candlelight ceremony at First Methodist Alpine Rev Williams officiated The bride wore champagne crepe with aqua and black accessories They greeted about 200 guests at a reception and will reside briefly in Los Angeles before moving to Kirtland Field New Mexico The Smith family is a longtime Brewster County ranching clan now tied to a Terlingua quicksilver operation The groom earned his wings at the local air base and will join his bride after visiting Los Angeles

Sgt. Charles H. Monroe of the pilot school will give a voice recital at Sul Ross auditorium Sunday at 4 30 p.m. The program includes English French Italian German songs and Negro spirituals. Monroe has radio experience with the Cardinal Quartet in San Francisco World's Fair and with the King's Men. He studied with Roland Paul, Lawrence Tibbet, Ted Nevis, Kenny Baker, and Pietro Cimini.

Vacation Bible School Offered By Local Baptist Church
A two week Vacation Bible School will run daily from 8 26 to 11 20 a m beginning in June. Ages four through sixteen will be served across four departments with Bible work music stories handwork and recreation. A wood workshop is provided for boys and optional for girls. Members dues and associate member rates are listed with special terms for armed forces in Presidio Brewster and Jeff Davis counties. The lake project will stock and be maintained by the Game Fish and Oyster Commission of Texas with seven directors from Marfa Alpine and Fort Davis. By laws were adopted at a May 15 meeting and members reside as far away as Tennessee San Angelo Big Lake Drona and overseas in Italy England India and Pacific Islands.
