Fort Davis Arry Scobee Wedding and Open House

The Fort Davis area reports the wedding of Fort Davis native Arry Scobee and a bride whose uncle hosted the ceremony. The Rev Franklin R Poage of the Methodist church presided with an improvised arch and roses, featuring accompanying nuptial music and a procession led by the bride’s party in pastel silk net gowns. Out-of-town guests included relatives from Crystal City and Brownwood, and a reception followed with a three tier cake. Also noted are a separate open house held by Rev and Mrs Richard Q Irving, attended by eighty-three guests, and local social updates including a marriage in Presidio County and hospital and travel notes.
