Heat and travel tale from Alpine editor notes
A Alpine based editor recalls a hot week end trip to Denton, jokes about shirt loss and a sponge, and urges readers to visit Alpine for relief from heat. He mentions plans to expand the print shop with brick and tile, hints at political support for Governor John Lee Smith, and ends with thanks from Mrs. L. C. Pope for a Girl Scout piece, reflecting editor ego and local color.
