Fort Davis Notes On Local Residents And Events
Mrs Juan Basques of Fort Davis died at age 30 at her home on Sunday and her funeral was held Monday with burial at the Mexican cemetery. She left a husband and two newborn twins ten days old. Mise Henia Lopez and Ramon Drona of Alpine obtained a marriage license Monday and were married by Justice of the Peace Nick Mersfelder. Lucia Hunton of Marfa visited RD Mulhern the first of the week. Mr and Mrs G W Davis were in Marfa Tuesday. Espy Miller returned $1 from Marlin where he spent the week with his wife on. They planned to have two operations. Miss Charlotte of San Antonio is visiting at the Walter Negley ranch. JW Yarbro left Tuesday for his home at Whitney after a two week visit with his son W A Yarbro. The nephew, who had also been for two weeks in West visiting at Van Horn, returned to Fort Davis for a few weeks’ coolness.
