Burglars Strike Alpine In Frightening Night Raid
Last Friday night burglars raided Alpine as they entered Watts store near the light plant and Carroll's barber shop then prowled the National Bank yard wall. The bank office was rummaged but only a six shooter and several blank drafts and checks were taken. Authorities suspect an organized traveling gang aided by local help.

The Kansas City Mexico and Orient railroad was sold today in Kansas City to Old Bondholders' committee for six million and one thousand. The bondholders' committee was the sole bidder.
