Isaac Meyers Killed in Coast Construction Accident
Isaac Meyers 47 son of the late Mr and Mrs Sam Meyers pioneer Alpine residents was killed in San Diego California on a construction job when a cable broke loose and fell on him breaking his neck. He is survived by his wife Margaret five children Nellie Mary George David and Gloria and one sister Alma Collins Alpine. Funeral services will be held Friday morning from Anderson Ragsdale Funeral Home in San Diego.

Youth Shot Accidentally at Sul Ross Campus
Joe Vaughn assistant in biology at Sul Ross was accidentally wounded around 4 30 pm Friday when his pistol fired while he and a student were on Mountain on the Nevill Ranch south of Alpine. He crawled to his pickup and drove to Nevill headquarters where Lalo Tabara took him to Brewster County Memorial Hospital. The bullet entered his right leg and lodged in his liver where it was removed. He and his wife live on campus.
