Several Alpine men have been employed at the Davis CCC camp near Port Townsend. The workers include Bledsoe, Thos Burke, Shady Greear, Olen Greear, M. Money, Wallace Sublett, Frank Young, and B J Wood. They served in supervisory posts and roles as civilian employees in the camp.
Bunton son of Mr and Mrs Bunton of Valentine and brother of Mrs King Terry of Alpine graduated from Texas A and M this year with honors after completing a four year course in two long terms and one summer term He was offered a position at Dr Peases Veterinary Hospital in Austin after earning his D V M degree and accepted He previously earned a B A in 1920 and was on tour with until deciding to return to A and M for a higher degree in veterinary medicine
Sunday school and church services are announced for Sunny Glen Canyon with an unusual 10 and 11 oclock start. A picnic dinner will follow and members should meet at the church at 9:30. Transportation is provided for those without a way to reach the canyon.
