Takes Issue With Agricultural Department
The Denver trip by Sai Anne and the Jacksons follows their attendance at the National Live Stock Association meeting. A resolution condemning a Washington backed plan to ban cattle below the quarantine line from being shipped above it was passed after Texas delegates drew it. Fort Worth packers would face losses under the proposed law, while Alpine would benefit from selling cattle at lower costs. Local leaders urge Alpine residents to host visitors as Tom Ball remains the leading candidate though opposition exists.
