A meeting of the Alpine Summer Normal board last Saturday set plans for a highly successful upcoming term. Dozens of counties have endorsed, with more expected. Supt. A W Evans of Uvalde public schools will again share charge, promising strong leadership. F L Harmon of Weatherford arrived and announced a Western Union office in Alpine Furniture Co. store, noting after hour only sick or death messages via railroad wires after 1 o’clock.
