Scales Buys Interest in Alpine Downtow n Real Estate
One of Alpine’s major recent deals closed Wednesday as Shirley Sates owner of the Alpine Kandy Kitchen and Alpine Drug Store acquired Arthur Mitel’s half interest in the Mitchell-Gitet bulldog property at the corner of Pith Street and Helland Avenue. The undivided one half interest transfers from Mr Jenet Mr Seatee to Sates, securing a prized piece of business real estate. The building now operates under Mitchell-Gitet and houses the Kandy Kitchen, Herds Barbershop, and the Dr W Fr Stokes office. The Kandy Kitchen has occupied its quarter for nine years, while Mitch ill-Gitet has been at the same location since Alpine’s early days. The Mitchell-Diet partnership is one of the oldest in the area. Mitch ill recently disposed of his share in the mercantile establishment George A. Brown. The deal took effect January 1 and was conducted privately.
