Mrs. J. T. Cole Dies After Short Illness in Uvalde
Mrs. J. T. Cole died Tuesday afternoon at her home in the city after a weeklong fever. Funeral held at Uvalde cemetery Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. J. P. Gilliam, Baptist pastor. She was 38, survived by husband, a married daughter Mrs. Hub Dixon, and a son about twelve. The family came to Uvalde near Alpine, Texas.

New Year's Eve Party At Gerhardt Home
Last Saturday evening the hospitable home of Mr and Mrs E L Gerhart hosted a pleasant holiday social. The room featured evergreens and cut flowers with shaded lighting. After two hours of merriment and refreshments including nut sandwiches salad salted almonds stuffed dates cake and coffee, guests exchanged New Year's greetings at midnight.
