Washington imposes limits on park mailings as Big Bend National Park faces a cutback in informational leaflets and replies. The Alpine post office posted an 8 percent increase in 1947 receipts over 1946 after a dip in 1946 following the return of troops. Mrs. Annie K. City Accepts Highway Dept Offer To Extend Paving
The city commission approved widening North Fifth Street from the bridge near Central Ward school to the north edge. The State Highway Department will fund curb to curb paving and city to acquire 10 extra feet of right of way.
