The Alpine Chamber of Commerce held a regular luncheon with strong attendance despite illness and a holiday. H W Ferguson led the program. ten new members were reported by the membership committee. Alpine Associated Charities organized with officers elected. Arbor Day set for February 27 with tree planting noted. Proceeds from a box supper will fund tourist park improvements. A planned holiday proclamation by the mayor was discussed. Entertainment committees lined up events for visiting Columbia women in April. Alpine Light and Tee Co was bought by Marfa interests, with no immediate Alpine action. Directors for the March 9 luncheon were J E Burgess and Judge Jas A Burke.

Sul Ross students enjoy holiday outing at Sunny Glen
On Saturday February 21 Sul Ross College students held a holiday picnic at Sunny Glen. They met at Berkeley Hall at 9 AM then split into groups for mountain climbing caves and a bird's eye Alpine view. The afternoon featured baseball harpshoe pitching and golf before returning home around four.

PTA Birthday Program Highlights Alpine Meeting
The P T A met February 20 at the school auditorium with good attendance despite flu. Mrs Hi W Ferguson traced PTA founders from 20 years ago and noted nationwide growth.
