Funeral services for W. D. McCall 72 were held at 2 30 p m Sunday Feb 21 at the 1st Methodist Church in Alpine with Rev Clyde Chesnutt officiating Burial followed at Elm Grove Cemetery under Geeslin Funeral Home direction McCall died Friday night in a San Antonio hospital after a brief illness He was born Jan 9 1893 in Gonzales County and came to Alpine from San Marcos in 1930 He was a retired barber and member of the First Methodist Church Survived by wife Ima a daughter Mrs C I Stewart of El Paso two sons Vernon McCall of Odessa and Farl McCall of Anchorage Alaska a sister Mrs Mae Nichols of Austin and seven grandchildren Pallbearers and helpers listed with Alpine and Odessa locals.
