The HL D. Wilcos testing at the HL Rebornet ranch nine miles south of Alpina, in Section 12 IC, J. V. Massey area, reported drilling around 990 feet this week. The operation is described as very favorable with continued effort ongoing.
Four basketball teams, winners in that area district, will vie for regional honors in a meet to be held at the Sul Rem gym tomorrow.
Local leaders launched a park land fund drive tied to a county per capita assessment. The effort, approved in Austin, aims to keep momentum in the fundraising campaign for park lands and park services across the area.
