Damaged text reports a Monday night blaze in Alpine causing an estimated eight to ten thousand dollars in damage. Fire spread through the two story structure with water and heat damage noted.
The HL D. Wilcos testing at the HL Rebornet ranch nine miles south of Alpina, in Section 12 IC, J. V. Massey area, reported drilling around 990 feet this week. The operation is described as very favorable with continued effort ongoing.
Four basketball teams, winners in that area district, will vie for regional honors in a meet to be held at the Sul Rem gym tomorrow.
