Baptist W M S Circles Meet On Tuesday Afternoon
The Society reports the Baptist W M S held a regular monthly program Tuesday. Circle 1 met with Mrs Ray Spence with three members present. Circle 2 met with Mrs F P Reed with seven members and two guests. Circle 3 met with Mrs Patterson with four members. Next Tuesday at 3 30 p m the three circles will meet at the church for the Royal Service program directed by Circle 2.

Terry Hosts Luncheon for Club With Spring Decor
Mrs. W. H. Terry entertained the contract club on Thursday with yellow jonquils and spring centerpieces. High scores went to Mrs. Wells McIntyre and Mrs. W. H. Terry Jr. Mrs. Lee Kokernot hosted a contract club Friday afternoon with a Washingtons birthday motif.

Former Student of Sul Ross College Honored in Chicago
James Swann, Sul Ross College art alumnus from 1925 to 1971, was elected secretary and treasurer of the Chicago Society of Etchers, replacing Bertha E. Jaques. Swann, who studied under Anna E. Keener and Elizabeth Keeler, has works in national collections and has exhibited widely, with recent honors including the 1997 100 Selected Prints of the Year.
