Alpine AAUW met February 10 in the Hospitality room of the Presbyterian church with Mrs Sperry and Mrs Lockhart as hostesses. Announcements included Inter-American discussions and a Sul Ross postwar course. Mrs Baines was named to the state International Relations committee. Faye Vice gave an informative talk on Women in the Post War World, led to a lively discussion. Two couples were united in a double wedding last Saturday evening at 6 30 at the home of Rev. and Mrs. R L Wittner. Rev Wittner officiated with the ring ceremony. Miss Lada Taylor became the bride of Harry L Brownlee Jr and Miss Julia Fay Perdue became the bride of Clifford Campbell. Evelyn Miller provided wedding music. The Taylors’ daughter wore a light beige crepe suit with gardenia corsage. The Brownlees of Peru Indiana plan a wedding trip.
