Brewster County invites men and women to move and help develop its resources. The Ava lanche touts abundant minerals, oil, gas, coal, potash, crops, cattle, and a climate suited for year round settlement, urging readers to come to the Garden of Eden and make homes and businesses.
Mangrove trees grow dense thickets with prop roots that trap mud and act as natural sea walls protecting shoreline. Roots branch repeatedly, producing tangled structures. The sale is March 1 1921 at 10am to 4pm at the Court House Door Alpine Texas.
An old advertisement promotes a catarrh medicine claimed to be a constitutional cure. The copy asserts the product treats the mucous surfaces and is sold by J. Cheney & Co. of Toledo Ohio.
