Mexican prisoner Rodolfo Chavarria found dead in county jail
Rodolfo E Chavarria 36 was found hanged in his cell by the jailer Monday morning. A note to his wife promised he would not return. Chavarria faced murder charges linked to a crime near Glenn Springs earlier in November. Ranger Arch Miller and Sheriff W N Gourley had arrested him the prior Thursday on the Gourley ranch near Nine Points. He was jailed Friday and investigators believe he used bedding to support the improvised rope, leaving his feet inches from the floor before death. The body was buried locally Monday.
